Wisla Krakow have won the Polish 1.Liga championship. Their only remaining rivals for the title crashed to an away defeat on Saturday.

Wisla, who get to celebrate their championship at home against local rivals Cracovia Krakow tonight, have a 14-points advantage over Legia and Lech, while those teams have only four matches to go.

For Wisla, this is their eleventh Polish championship after being the nation's strongest in 1927, 1928, 1949, 1950, 1978, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2005.

Wisla succeed last year's champions Zaglebie Lubin, who disappointed this season and occupy the sixth spot at the moment.
